Want a Union?

The most important thing you need to know about organizing your colleagues to join a union is that you don't have to go it alone.

MNA has more than 30 years of hands-on experience helping RNs organize their facilities. You can tap into that experience at any time simply by calling 800-769-0050 or 406.442.6710 and asking to speak to staff from the Labor Department.

And remember, your call will be held in the strictest confidence.

Every RN deserves the security and benefits of MNA membership. Organizing is not always easy or short - but it's always worth the hard work. The end result is a seat at the table where important decisions are made to improve
patient care and give nurses the respect they deserve.

Though employers and those who oppose unions may suggest otherwise, your right to organize is guaranteed by U.S. laws.

Staff nurses in hospitals have been organizing themselves into unions since WWII. When Congress passed the Health Care Amendments to the Taft-Hartley Act in 1974, protections of the National Labor Relations Act - including the right to bargain collectively - were extended to non-supervisory employees in all healthcare facilities.

We look forward to hearing from you. Give us a call today!
