MNA represents over 2000 RNs in over twenty collective bargaining units throughout the state. Members work in acute care facilities, as well as assistive living centers. They work as public health nurses and in state institutions.

As the largest and oldest union for registered nurses in Montana, MNA has the knowledge, experience, power, and authority to make a real difference in the workplace. In fact, we are the only union in the state dedicated exclusively to registered nurses. Membership in MNA allows you to be a part of an active, powerful force for change in your workplace.

Your membership gives you the right to vote on contracts, be a member of the negotiation team, run for office, and participate in MNA Committees and Councils. The benefits of collective bargaining are great, and more members mean greater power for nurses and increased accountability of management. Your voice will be heard through your local unit, and through your elected leaders.

MNA’s partnership with AFL-CIO Montana and our direct affiliation to the American Nurses Association, provides strength in numbers – a powerful voice for standards in the employment setting. Our multi-focused approach to addressing issues includes legislative and regulatory platforms, education, and contract negotiations.
