What is #RetainMe

#RetainMe is a campaign MNA is using to build awareness about recruitment and retention of nurses in Montana. Some MNA locals formed #RetainMe committees to encourage their employers to understand the reason their employees are leaving.

How do I get involved?

If you are in a collective bargaining unit you can start a #RetainMe committee in your local with the support of your coworkers. Reach out to Thai Nguyen, Labor Organizer, for more information about starting a #RetainMe committee with your local. Contact Thai at thai@mtnurses.org

If you are not a collective bargaining unit or if you do not have a #RetainMe committee in your local yet, you can help spread the message about nurse retention by posting on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using the hashtags #RetainMe or #KeepYourNursesLocal. Reach out to MNA for help with crafting social media posts. Contact us at info@mtnurses.org

Why Social Media?

Social media is a great way to get information out to the public, especially to our friends and family who might not know about the issues facing nurses in Montana. As our friends and family become more aware of need for recruitment and retention, they will become valuable supporters and will help this campaign grow. Keeping our friends and family involved in nursing issues will help MNA advocates at the legislature, and when we need the support the community members when our local face particularly difficult negotiations with their employers
